Junior Achievement of Antigua & Barbuda is an affiliate of Junior Achievement Worldwide, which was founded in 1919 in Springfield, Massachusetts, by Horace Moses, then president of Strathmore Paper Company. Junior Achievement of Antigua & Barbuda was founded upon the direct initiative of the ROTARY club, in 1992, with the first President being Mr. Paddy Benjamin and the first Executive Director was Dr. Edris Bird. Mr. Clarence E Pilgrim was elected President in 2002. Mr Pilgrim is the first Antiguan and only person from the English Speaking Caribbean to receive the JA Worldwide Gold leadership Award in 2006.
